pieces of the bible come into my mind randomly and sometimes they stick around for a while. today the verse that emerges is "to know and rely on the love of God." this phrase has been making a regular appearance in the last few months. i feel like i know what it means intuitively, but i would have a hard time explaining myself should someone ask. but it seems core. it is what i want for myself and for others. and i wonder if this is happening in people and, if so, how does it happen? how does a person come to know the love of God? how does a person truly rely on the love of God? what makes this possible other than grace?
